This workshop explores leadership and mentoring in early childhood education through a trauma-informed lens. Participants will reflect on the role of mentoring and supporting teams, sustaining practice, and building safe, nurturing environments for children and families. The session also examines mentor-mentee relationships and how everyday leadership can strengthen trauma-aware approaches

• Different roles of leadership and mentoring
• The mentor and the mentee relationships
• Supporting staff through mentoring

Supportive and respectful leadership is so important in any workplace. This workshop supports each participant to recognise their own leadership qualities and how to use these leadership qualities in their day-to day work.

About the facilitator

This training is delivered by experienced early childhood practitioners and trauma-informed educators with extensive experiences in coaching and mentoring. They support educators and services to create safe, nurturing environments that supports the healing process of children affected by trauma through everyday interactions.
