OUR TRAINING
Healing connections: Trauma-sensitive partnership with parents

Introduction

This workshop explores how early childhood educators and other professionals can build trauma-sensitive partnerships with parents of children aged 0-5. It focuses on respectful, non-judgemental communication and offers strategies for sharing knowledge about child development and behaviour in ways that build trust and collaboration.

Communication is so important in a relationship with parents, yet it is so easy to get it wrong, to offend, to misunderstand and to create barriers to shared understanding.

Listening with an open heart is the key to clarifying all aspects of communications.

On completion of this workshop, participants will feel more comfortable using trauma-informed language in their partnership with parents and be able to keep the dialogue open and transparent.

About the facilitator

This workshop is facilitated by our parenting and early years team who have extensive experience supporting parent engagement in early childhood settings. Their work focuses on building reflective communication skills and fostering partnerships that create safe spaces for children and their families.
