Learn to facilitate the Bringing Up Great Kids: Parenting program. This training introduces the program's framework, tool and resources to facilitate a respectful, reflective and mindful parenting group. Ideal for professionals working with parents in group or individual settings.
Bringing Up Great Kids: Parenting program
We believe a loving, nurturing and safe parent can provide the relationship with a child where they can both flourish and grow. We also know parenting can be challenging, and that non-judgemental support can make a huge difference.
The Bringing Up Great Kids: Parenting program is a group-based program (that can be adapted for working with individual parents) focusing on the experience of reflective and mindful parenting, grounded in the relationships parents build and share with their children.
Our Bringing Up Great Kids: Parenting program presents parents with access to knowledge about development, connection with others and an opportunity to reflect on their communication with children. We've consistently found that when opportunities for mindful reflection are created these can lead to positive change; including more respectful interactions and increased positive self-identity in children, increased confidence in parenting for those parents - and better relationships.
More than 4,000 facilitators have been trained to use the Bringing Up Great Kids: Parenting program in a diverse range of organisations. You will join the community following your completion of this training.
Facilitator training workshop
This practical workshop provides participants with the opportunity to successfully run the Bringing Up Great Kids: Parenting program.
It is the prerequisite level of training for individual professionals to have access to the Bringing Up Great Kids: Parenting program and become a registered facilitator.
Completing the training provides access to the Bringing Up Great Kids: Parenting program manual, relevant worksheets, tools, activities and resources within the registration cost of the workshop. There are also two options for participation: virtual or face-to-face learning.

About the facilitator
Experienced parenting program facilitators run these sessions with hands on knowledge of implementing the Bringing Up Great Kids: Parenting program stemming from facilitating a range of face to face and online parent groups in multiple locations across Australia and internationally.
Target Audience
This training is suitable for all professionals working with parents in either an individual or group context. While the program focuses on primary aged children, it can be adapted for infants and adolescents.
Learning Outcomes
- Understand the principles of reflective and mindful parenting
- Identify the key concepts and phases of the Bringing Up Great Kids: Parenting program
- Implement the program and its activities with individual parents and parent groups
- Learn how to adapt the program to meet the specific needs of the parents with whom you are using the program
