Introduction
We believe a loving, nurturing and safe parent can provide the relationship with a child where they can both flourish and grow. We also know parenting can be challenging, and that non-judgemental support can make a huge difference.
The BUGK: Parenting program is a group-based program (that can be adapted for working with individual parents) focusing on the experience of reflective and mindful parenting, grounded in the relationships parents build and share with their children.
Our BUGK: Parenting program presents parents with access to knowledge about development, connection with others and an opportunity to reflect on their communication with children. We've consistently found that when opportunities for mindful reflection are created these can lead to positive change; including more respectful interactions and increased positive self-identity in children, increased confidence in parenting for those parents - and better relationships.
More than 4,000 facilitators have been trained to use the BUGK: Parenting program in a diverse range of organisations. You will join the community following your completion of this training.
This practical workshop provides participants with the opportunity to successfully run the BUGK: Parenting program. It is the prerequisite level of training for individual professionals to have access to the BUGK: Parenting program and become a registered facilitator.
Completing the training provides access to the BUGK: Parenting program manual, relevant worksheets, tools, activities and resources within the registration cost of the workshop. There are also two options for participation: virtual or face-to-face learning.
