Sharon Duthie

Senior Education Consultant

Sharon has over 25 years’ experience providing therapeutic support to children, young people, and families who have experienced trauma from abuse, neglect, violence, and attachment disruption. She has worked at the Australian Childhood Foundation for 12 years as a Child and Family Counsellor, Therapeutic Services Team Leader and a Senior Education Consultant.

Sharon is passionate about providing high quality training on the impacts of abuse-related trauma, so professionals can best support and understand the children and families they work with. Commencing her career working with victims of crime, she has worked in a range of contexts and sectors including Community Health, OOHC, Bushfire Recovery, Refugee and asylum seekers, and most extensively in Family Violence. She holds a Bachelor of Arts with a major in Psychology (Deakin University), a Graduate Diploma in Experiential and Creative Arts Therapy (MIECAT), and a Master of Counselling (La Trobe University).

Sharon lives and works on Bunurong country.
