Hanif Jaberipour
Senior Parenting & Early Years Consultant
Before moving to Australia in 2015, Hanif worked for over a decade in Iran as an early childhood educator, researcher, and parenting group facilitator.
In 2016, while pursuing a PhD in early childhood education at Monash University, he joined the Parenting and Early Years team. He contributed to the revision of the Bringing Up Great Kids (BUGK) program in 2017 and has since been involved in developing adaptations of the program as well as numerous training packages for early childhood educators.
Hanif has delivered numerous in-person and online training sessions for parents and professionals across Australia, Iran, and North America. After completing his PhD in 2022, he coordinated the national BUGK evaluation project until early 2025 and now serves as a Senior Parenting and Early Years Consultant.
Hanif’s contributions are grounded in the ancient Persian wisdom that the people and land of Iran generously nurtured him in, carrying with it a heartfelt wish for their freedom from all forms of external and internal aggression. He brings this wisdom with deep respect onto the lands of Australia’s First Nations peoples, seeking to walk gently between these two enduring cultures and be guided by their shared values of care, connection, and responsibility.
Hanif is also a husband and the father of two boys who are enthusiastically pursuing their own journeys in Australia. Outside his professional work, he has a deep passion for water sports and drama. He is an active member of the Persian community in Melbourne and maintains close connections with the wider global Iranian diaspora.
