Celina Sargent

Celina is a highly experienced social worker with over 30 years of working alongside children, young people, and their families. Her career has spanned direct service delivery, policy development, project work, and service management across Commonwealth and State governments as well as the community sector in both Tasmania and nationally. A key focus throughout her work has been adolescent health, with a strong commitment to improving outcomes and access to services for young people though working across and within systems to create change. More recently, Celina joined the Australian Childhood Foundation (ACF) to support the implementation of trauma-informed practice in Tasmanian schools. She now works across a variety of projects and business development initiatives, drawing on her knowledge of trauma theory, professional learning, and knowledge mobilisation. In her current role, Celina partners with organisations of all sizes to build staff capacity and strengthen their ability to understand and respond effectively to children and young people impacted by trauma.
