Introduction
This workshop invites leaders, supervisors, and practitioners to explore how a trauma-informed lens can strengthen supervision and support staff wellbeing. Trauma-informed supervision recognises the dynamic relationship between trauma, the practitioner, the helping relationship, and the organisational context in which the work occurs.
This workshop explores the core values and principles of trauma-informed supervision, and the knowledge and skills needed for supervising trauma-informed practice. Together, we will consider how supervision can be intentionally structured to provide safe spaces for reflection, debriefing, skill development, and shared learning. Participants will explore ways to hold meaningful, and sometimes challenging, conversations that reduce the impact of vicarious trauma and promote resilience and sustainability in practice.
This session is designed to be practical, reflective, and applicable across helping professions, equipping participants with tools to foster safer supervision relationships and healthier organisational cultures.
